Cutting Edge Books
The Cutting Edge series from Pearson Education is a general English training system for adults. Each level consists of a thorough grammar syllabus, plenty of vocabulary work and engaging speaking tasks. Additional module worksheets from Pearson are included here as well as Teachers Network developed Vocabulary Worksheets (for levels above Starter).
The Cutting Edge series is comprised of six levels – Starter (1), Elementary (2), Pre-Intermediate (3), Intermediate (4), Upper Intermediate (5), and Advanced (6). Additional materials such as placement tests and other documents can be found on the Pearson Education site (free registration required). Classroom and Workbook audio files are available for purchase through the normal online book vendors.
Level One – Starter
The Starter Edition (Level One) does not contain additional vocabulary worksheets. This is because the Student Book ships with a small Vocabulary Book organized by module. Starter Edition is the only version to ship with a vocabulary book organized by chapter with higher levels including a general Mini-Dictionary instead. For this reason Teachers Network supplied Vocabulary Worksheets are not provided for this level.
