Side by Side Series

The Side by Side series is a set of four levels of English instruction for early to intermediate learners.  The book is organized by grammar however grammar is taught through usage and repetition rather than having to learn rules.  From Longman, the publisher of Side by Side:

The Side by Side series is an excellent choice for natural learning of grammar and conversational English.  It is not however strong on vocabulary and word building.   Teachers Network has put together additional Vocabulary Worksheets to supplement these books.  Materials suitable for students are presented here.   Teachers Network has also compiled some teacher resources to go along with these which can also be found below.
